Keeping everyone safe on set

Staff Training

All staff attend Lewis Daniels Cleaning Services’ own bespoke training sessions to ensure they understand how film and TV production cleaning differs from other types of commercial cleaning. They are also fully trained to operate cleaning equipment.

All staff receive COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) training, qualifying them to undertake commercial and residential cleaning methods. Their sole focus is on making sure that cleaning is carried out effectively and in a timely manner appropriate to their allocated department’s role.

All staff are trained sterilisation technicians, and disinfection basics- level 3 with professional insight into disinfecting.

Health & Safety

Naturally, we take Health and Safety very seriously. Standard practice includes:

Site / Contract-specific risk assessments and method statements
Induction and refresher training for all staff
Regular health and safety audits
Safe chemical purchasing policy, COSHH assessments

Health & Safety is at the fore of everything we do and is led by our in house Group Health, Safety & Compliance Manager.

RAMS

We produce a tailored risk assessment, method statement and RAMS for each production.

As part of the process of mobilisation for cleaning, a suite of site specific RAMS will be produced which will be shared in advance of each task. RAMS will also be stored on the technician’s mobile tablet with a mandatory field that must be signed to confirm they have read, understood and will follow the RAMS prior to commencing work, given the nature of the environment in which we are working it is critical that the strictest of safety precautions are adhered to.
